Satoshi Itomura is demoted from the Metropolitan Police Department First Investigation to the Tsukishima Police Station. A case then occurs in the normally peaceful Tsukishima District. Megumi Kagami, who works at the Tsukishima Police Station is kidnapped. Soon, Kyo Kagami, who is Megumi's father, receives a phone call stating "I kidnapped your daughter." Kyo Kagami's ex-subordinate, Satoshi Itomura, goes to his house right away. According to Kyo Kagami, the kidnapper sent a video clip which shows Megumi Kagami unconscious. Megumi Kagami had a kidney transplant six months ago and her condition could deteriorate. A headquarters for the case is set up at the Tsukishima Police Station. Chief Detective Kyoko Mizusawa and Yuji Sakuma begin to investigate. Meanwhile, Satoshi Itomura pays attention to an article left behind, that was found in the room of a murder case. He requests an analysis of the item, but his request is turned down by Detective Masayoshi Machida of the Metropolitan Police Department First Investigation. But, Satoshi Itomura can't forget about the article left behind and asks Shigeru Muraki (Masahiro Komoto) to analyze the item. The results leads to a match with a person involved in a case five years earlier which Kyo Kagami was involved in. Satoshi Itomura senses a connection between the kidnapping and the case from 5 years earlier.
