The Refutation of Sirius (2026)

A letter arrives for lawyer Fujishima Shota (Nakajima Yuto), a member of “Team Zero,” an organization dedicated to helping victims of false convictions. It comes from Miyahara, who was sentenced to death for the brutal murder of an entire family that took place twenty-five years ago in Gujo Hachiman, Gifu Prefecture — proclaiming his innocence and pleading for justice. Haunted by memories of his own father, Fujishima feels both aversion and inner turmoil, yet as he begins investigating the case, he uncovers unnatural facts that contradict the prosecution’s claims. Before long, the team encounters a major obstacle in fingerprint analysis, and Hieda Issei, the chief prosecutor of the Gifu District Public Prosecutors Office, begins to take action. As Miyahara’s execution draws ever closer, Fujishima — together with Higashiyama Sana, the young leader of Team Zero, and his close friend Anno Sosuke — takes on the seemingly impossible challenge of requesting a retrial.
