Sinopsis

The story is a trilogy drama composed of three timelines, spanning from Chapter 1 to Chapter 3 (1975–2025). Chapter 1 is set in Hiroshima, 30 years after the atomic bombing, as the city slowly begins to recover. It depicts the daily life of Ogaki Sachie, who runs a small café on her own while doing her best to survive, along with her family. Half a century later, Chapter 2 follows Sachie’s granddaughter, Kuramochi Yuki, who works at a local television station. When she is assigned a special program, she is led to confront, for the first time, her grandmother’s past, stories that had never been told before. Things people want to forget, and things they cannot forget. Things left unsaid, and things never asked. Amid the flow of time, the story reflects on both the “ever-changing city of Hiroshima” and the “unchanging feelings of its people,” weaving together the enduring “memory of Hiroshima” passed down through generations.
