Sinopsis

Tarayama Kiko is an eighteen-year-old university student. She is something of an online celebrity known as "Angry Kiko-chan." When Kiko was an elementary school student who had stopped attending school, her father began posting videos on the video-sharing site YouTune in an effort to make her smile. A video of an irritated Kiko exclaiming, "Oh, Dad!" went massively viral. It even became an internet meme, and she became widely known as Kiko-chan from Tara Channel. Even after Kiko eventually became able to attend school again, the family continued working as online video creators, aiming to reach "one million channel subscribers." Eventually, however, issues such as her parents' desire for validation, the loss of her privacy, and the suffocating pressure of having to play a character come crashing down on Kiko after she enters university. Yet Kiko, constantly mindful of the feelings of the father she loves so dearly, is unable to say what she truly thinks. Then, her father tries to turn a certain incident involving Kiko into material for a video, causing a rift in their relationship. Forced to confront the fact that her true self is being eroded by the videos orchestrated by her father, Kiko resolves to break free from a life centered around making videos and to live honestly according to her own feelings.
