Sinopsis

Poison is used in a murder at a famous jewellery store in Ginza, Tokyo. Tsubaki Eisuke (Masuoka Toru), a member of the old nobility, is regarded as a suspect. Unable to endure further humiliation, he commits suicide. Believing in her father’s innocence, Mineko (Shida Mirai) enlists the help of detective Kindaichi Kosuke (Yoshioka Hidetaka). Kindaichi witnesses a bizarre séance for Tsubaki at the family residence and sounds of a flute resonate even though he is supposed to be deceased. That night, a former count who had been living in the house for free, is killed. Kindaichi immediately launches an investigation, and comes face to face with the deep-seated resentment and tragedy created by the immorality of the former nobility, ostentatious relationships and extravagance.
